Description

Type 420J2 stainless steel is martensitic steel, which is inexpensive and very resistant to corrosion. It offers corrosion resistance both in industrial and domestic environments, as well as in the mild atmosphere.

It provides resistance to many chemicals, acids, petroleum products, steam, and household cleaners. Type 420J2 is the preferred stainless-steel choice for knife manufacturers.

In comparison with 440 grades, stainless-steel type 420J2 provides better strength and good resistance to impact when it is in tempered and hardened conditions.
